The Beach House Middleton

Thank you Michelle for a great 3 night stay. Our family of 14 enjoyed the stay immensely celebrating Trish's 70th. The property's location was central to the beach, Goolwa and Victor Harbour which met our needs precisely. Michelle was very accommodating, well versed and helpful with local events and easy to talk to. We have no hesitation in returning or providing a 5 star recommendation.

I chose to celebrate my 50th Birthday with my Dad, 5 sons, girlfriends, and a few close family and friends. The house was perfect as there were various areas such as; the lawn area where we played Boulles and cricket (supplied). Although my children are mostly adults (14 - 29), it would still be great for younger kid's; while the adults can sit on the deck around the table and wine barrel (BBQ/Pizza area) or lay back on the outdoor couch in the opposite direction. Additionally, I did notice they supply a portacot and safety gates for the stairs. They have thought of everything. The front deck allows for the changing weather. It can get windy fast but there is enough shelter to accommodate. The sunsets on the deck were spect. The two levels were convenient for my older family members that would have struggled with the stairs. Lower floor has kitchenette, bathroom, lounge and rooms. Outside side access path with code entry gate was easier for my grumps to get to the back of the house. One best friend baked me a cake in the amazing fully stocked kitchen. All crockery and glass wear is of a quality standard. Dishwasher is functioning and leaves dishes sparkling. Beautiful peaceful location. I felt like I was in my own home. We all (15 + a surprise pop in of my friend and her plus 2 that just happened to be in the area unexpectedly) fit in the main lounge in comfort to watch my 50th Photo movie reel on the decent sized TV. Plenty to see and do near by and I even found an amazing Bahn Mi, Pho and Vietnamese Iced Coffe (my favourite). I didn't have time to visit the Port Elliot Bakery but I can tell you that line was halfway down the street all 3 days I was there. I had a few minor issues with the booking site (I believe Michelle has recently transitioned to a different platform) and on arrival due to previous guests being a bit slack and disrespectful. However, Michelle was amazing during the entire process from beginning to end. Fast responses and bent over backwards to fix the issues. I wasn't feeling my best and Michelle was very caring. I would stay again in a heartbeat. I would happily live there infact. Just loved the layout and decor. Thank you Michelle for sharing your amazing home with us for my special milestone.

Nice spot but be cautious Positive: The space within the property is excellent. A large amount of in house activities including Playstation, outdoor games and board games. Negative: The house not kept in the neatest state. Chairs broken, barrier on the outdoor deck not secure. The BBQ was not cleaned on arrival and then after we cleaned it and left it in a much neater state, the owner tried to charge us for cleaning. Also tried to charge us with for "extra cleaning" after saying the cleaners had to "extra cleaning" without specifying what it was. The owner came through the property twice during our stay. Was also attempted to charge for extra yard cleaning claiming there were rocks in the grass and a couple bottles left on the porch. The house also has outdoor cameras and not sure if they are active during the stay.

For the second year in a row we stayed here for our golf weekend and as previous the place was excellent.

The extended family recently spent a week at The Beachhouse Middleton. Michelle has thought of everything and the bottle of wine was appreciated. There was plenty of room for everyone. A lounge room upstairs and downstairs ensures that there is room for everyone. The 12 seater table provided plenty of room for meals and card games. Not that we spent much time inside as there’s a large verandah out the back, an enclosed back yard, a park across the road and the beach is walking distance. So plenty for the kids to do. Driving a short distance gets you to Goolwa or Victor Harbour. Here there is supermarkets, shops and restaurants. If you need a drive Monarto Zoo is a great day out for the family. Definitely would recommend for a family or large group get away.
